Challenge
Landlord Accreditation Scotland use Arlo to manage their training business. Arlo sends an order confirmation email to the attendee when they book onto a course.
Many attendees work at letting agent businesses. These people need a copy of their course booking confirmations sent to a separate address in their business. This helps their business manage staff training and compliance.
Arlo doesn’t provide an option for sending order confirmation emails to additional recipients at the attendee’s organisation in this way.
Implementation
We added an optional field in the Arlo booking process to collect an additional email address for order confirmations.
There is a setting in Arlo to bcc all order communication emails to specific email addresses.
Make provides a custom mailbox trigger for automations.
We configured a Make scenario that:
- Receives a copy of every Arlo order communication.
- Excludes any emails that are not order confirmations.
- Queries Arlo for the contact receiving the order confirmation, and gets their additional order confirmation email address.
- If the additional address is provided, send a second copy of the order confirmation email to this address.
Results
Attendees can now specify an additional email recipient as part of the course booking process, and this address will automatically receive a copy of the order confirmation.
The integration runs automatically on every course booking.
Impacts include:
- Attendees save time and have a better booking experience.
- Businesses automatically receive the confirmations they require.
